Viareggio, February 6, 2022 - Today\'s earthquake with an epicenter. Viareggio was clearly felt by the population. “At 2. 36 this night,” Mayor Giorgio Del Gingaro writes on social networks, “our territory was at the epicenter of an earthquake with a magnitude of 3. 8 on the Richter scale and a depth of about eight kilometers. The president of the region, Eugenio Giani, posted a message on social media the night shortly after the earthquake, warning that the regional room had been activated for testing.

Other small aftershocks were recorded overnight along the coast of Tuscany: a magnitude 3. 38 in Vecchiano (magnitude 1. 7), two more in Vecchiano between magnitudes 5. 40 and 6. 50 (magnitude 3 and 1. 4) and an earthquake of magnitude 1. 8 points reported by Ingv (National Institute of Geophysics and Geophysics).
