On Saturday 18 December, a heavy storm with rain and hail hit the Australian capital Canberra.
All this was accompanied by wind gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour.
Strong winds have caused several trees to fall in the Canberra suburbs, blocking roads and damaging power lines and property.
As of Saturday evening, 17 millimeters of precipitation fell in Canberra.
Emergency services responded to over 70 calls.
The community has been asked to remain vigilant, storm activity is likely to continue for the next few hours until Sunday.
The severe weather warning remains in effect.
