Several districts of Montpellier are suffering from a rapid rise in water levels. The storms particularly affected the northeast of the Hérault capital. Like here in Prades-les-Lez where I fell almost 120mm. In the Prades-les-Lez sector and the surrounding villages, there is a low-mobility assault cell. Hail is also reported. Montpellier and nearby villages, on yellow vigilance for rain and thunderstorms, are prone to heavy rains and some streets are already flooded. A direct consequence of this is that water rushes onto roads where traffic is hindered in Montpellier. The rains started on Monday morning but intensified from noon. As reported by Météo France, temporary storms are significant: “In the Languedoc, as far as the Cevennes and the entire south of the PACA region, cloudy weather sets in, with occasional thunderstorms.
